His primary motivation is to understand what drives individuals and teams to maximize their performance.

Through comprehensive research and years of experience, Rich designs strategies that inspire and encourage individuals to become more effective in all aspects of their lives.

Rich is currently in the editing process for his book The Return: Managing Your Intrinsic Resources.

As a Co-Founder of Blue Ridge Capital, Rich serves as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, a role he has held for over 23 years. Blue Ridge Capital had $10 billion in assets under management at its peak, and averaged gains of 15.4% annually since inception. Prior to Blue Ridge Capital, Rich held senior positions at Morgan Stanley, Tiger Management and Ernst & Young, after graduating from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Rich was also instrumental in the founding of iMentor; an established leader in high school and college mentoring, currently serving over 9,000 students, most of them from low-income communities. Rich proudly serves on their Board, and continues to provide direction, inspiration, and encouragement to the next generation of young leaders.
